Description
Product characterisic
SOLVITA COMPOST MATURITY TEST is a widely recognized and easy-to-perform procedure to measure evolution of carbon-dioxide (CO2) and volatile ammonia (NH3), the two most prominent gaseous emissions of active composts. These indicators are used together to gauge stability and maturity, important co-dependent traits relating to compost quality.
SOLVITA is employed with compost and manures for the following purposes: • to comply with maturity standards • to evaluate compost status and to determine the aeration needs • to determine product best-use and ammonia situation.
The SOLVITA COMPOST MATURITY TEST may be used to obtain several types of information regarding stability & maturity (co-dependent factors), potential nitrogenloss, and quantitative respiration rates. Any problems are highlighted, to which explanations and possible remedies are attributed.
DOSES AND METHOD OF USE
It is based on n. 2 color indicators, which in 4 hours measure the rate of CO2 respiration and the gaseous ammonia. Specific tables allow to interpret the results obtained. The test is practical, fast and reliable, and can be done on site.
